Head Teacher’s Welcome

I am delighted to be able to introduce and welcome you to River Mill Primary School that is a new free school which is part of the hugely successful Connect Schools Academy Trust.

As Head Teacher, I am delighted to have the opportunity to be part of this exciting new journey, providing pupils in Dartford with challenging opportunities and innovative and imaginative learning experiences.

Opening in September 2019, River Mill will be more than a school, it will be a community of enthusiastic, thoughtful and polite learners growing over a number of years.

The school will be built around a culture of high expectations and our aim is for every child to reach their full potential.  Our innovative curriculum and high quality learning opportunities will give children the skills to thrive in the modern world, ensuring they are ambitious for themselves and their community.  I will strive to give all pupils, of all backgrounds and abilities, the freedom to learn and achieve through learning experiences that are both inspiring and exciting.

Working with parents, I will deliver learning opportunities that are right for every pupil and aspirational for all stakeholders.  River Mill will have a strong, inclusive ethos enabling all pupils to feel happy, successful, confident and ready to learn. I believe that building positive partnerships with the local community is key to a child’s success.

Our prospectus will shortly be available and will give you a taste of what our fantastic new school has to offer and we hope this will inspire you to join us as we move forward to our opening in September 2019.  You may also like to visit www.connectschoolsacademytrust.com to see how our approach to your child’s education will work.
